Highly recommended! The pho bo was authentic, rich in flavor, and absolutely delicious. The staff name Hannah were very friendly and spoke English well, making the whole experience smooth and enjoyable. Definitely one of the best pho spots in Hanoi! 🍜❤️

Timeline Coffee & Restaurant - Restaurant in Hanoi
About This Place
Đinh Liệt is one of those Old Quarter streets that never fully empties — motorbikes, tourists with maps, locals on plastic stools — and Timeline Coffee & Restaurant sits in the middle of it at number 7, drawing a crowd large enough to generate over 7,600 Google reviews at a 4.8 average. That volume, sustained over time, points to something reliable rather than momentarily trendy: a kitchen and service team that handles high turnover without the drop in quality that sinks most spots in this foot-traffic zone.
The venue operates as both a café and a full restaurant, which gives it flexibility that single-category places on the same street lack. Morning coffee crowds transition into lunch, lunch into afternoon work sessions, afternoon into dinner — the kind of all-day cadence that fills seats across different visitor types rather than peaking and emptying. For travelers staying in the Hoan Kiem area, it functions as a dependable anchor: close enough to Hoan Kiem Lake and the night market to work as a rest stop, far enough from the most tourist-saturated intersections to feel like a local find rather than a trap.
With limited scraped review detail available, specific dishes are not listed here — but the rating consistency across a large sample suggests the food holds up to repeat visits from people who have options. Hoan Kiem has no shortage of cafés competing for the same customer, and the ones that accumulate this kind of review density tend to earn it through execution rather than location alone.
Reviews
Just landed in Vietnam, and looked for a authentic Pho, we came across this beautiful restaurant and very accommodating staff. The food was great! Will come back, but especially Annie who’s assisting us with the menu and everything we need. She was so good at her work. And knows are language as well. She’s a top notch when it comes to hospitality. My special Pho is missing one item which is this fried bread churro thing, she replaced it with a cake! How’s sweet!!! I highly recommend eating here! Annie you did a great job! You need a raise!!!❤️❤️❤️❤️
We had a wonderful time. We sat at the roof top bar and had wonderful service. We had cocktails which were beautiful. Staff were very friendly and attentive. A big shout out to Annie who was lovely as were the rest of the staff. There was a beautiful cat on a hot tin roof next door.
Great vibe, great view from the roof, little bit overpriced, but still reasonable. The food was really good and the drinks were tasty too. We thought the pricing was a bit high, but it's in a tourist spot on a busy corner, so I guess that the extra charge is for the good people watching. There was a weird smell upon entering, but it dissipates once you're upstairs and on the roof. They've got some great decor as well, including what appeared to be an awesome hand built ship model.
This rooftop restaurant in the center of Hanoi has a really great vibe. The views over the city, with all the shops and busy streets below, are lovely—especially if you go in the evening. It’s a nice spot to sit, relax, and take in the atmosphere. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and the service was quick—our food arrived without much of a wait, which was a plus. That said, the menu didn’t fully impress me. I ordered chicken with chips. I don’t know if it wasn’t cooked well or maybe it was the flavor but it just wasn’t to my taste. It might suit others, but it wasn’t for me personally. The chips were also cold I’d also say it’s a bit on the expensive side for what you get. Overall, a great place for the views and ambiance, but the food may be a bit hit or miss depending on what you order.
