Only reason i’m giving it a 4 star is due to the coconut coffee, flavour was there however it wasn’t my type of thing due to the chunks of coconut and other bits inside. the smoothie bowls are lovely, but must be eaten quickly as they go gloopy in the heat. staff and service is lovely and quick. amazing vegan options and my dad (who is a vegan) was incredibly impressed by the tempeh burger & wake up smoothie bowl ☺️

IVEGAN SUPERSHOP HANG DIEU- HEALTHY PLANT-BASED CAFE - Vegan restaurant in Hanoi
About This Place
On Hàng Điếu, one of the Old Quarter's more navigable streets, iVegan Supershop sits at an intersection that doesn't see as many tourist-facing restaurants as the lanes closer to Hoàn Kiếm Lake. That positioning suits its regulars — a mix of health-conscious locals, expats on plant-based diets, and visitors who've grown tired of the pork-forward staples that dominate Hà Nội's street food canon.
The concept combines a working café with a retail health food section, which gives it a different rhythm than a straight restaurant: people come to eat, to pick up groceries, or simply to sit somewhere that doesn't smell of grilling meat. With 3,891 Google reviews averaging 4.8 stars, the volume alone signals something consistent rather than a novelty.
In Hoàn Kiếm, plant-based dining options exist but tend to cluster around a handful of Buddhist-vegetarian spots that close early and don't always cater to modern dietary preferences around protein or macros. iVegan's supershop model — stocking products alongside prepared food — fills a specific gap for people who want to eat well across more than one meal.
The café format means it handles the remote-work crowd reasonably, and the location on Hàng Điếu puts it within walking distance of the Đồng Xuân market end of the Old Quarter without being swallowed by its foot traffic. For anyone spending more than a few days in Hà Nội and looking to balance street food with something lighter and plant-forward, this address is a practical and well-regarded option.

Reviews
You have to wait outside to order and pay, I was standing there for almost 20 minutes. When it was my turn to order, they told me they didn't have any cheesecake, so I took the chocolate one which did not have a lot of flavour. It's already pretty slow, so it would be good to know which food is available and which isn't, so that when it's your turn to pay you don't have to waste people's time finding something to eat that is actually available. They give you free coffee/dessert for reviews, which makes the whole thing feel quite disingenuous.
The Acai smoothie bowl was a bit disappointing, it had the consistency of cake batter and I was unable to finish. Looks better than it tastes ! The falafel bowl was good though, nice and fresh.
Good food but we went there 3 times and each time staff ignore people in the queue and were rude, unfriendly and unhelpful. Menu needs updating as told they “don’t sell” more than 5 items on the menu. Experience when ordering a matcha which never arrived then told they didn’t have it hence we didn’t receive it once we were leaving. This might be due to staff being overworked and therefore needing more staff to supplement how many people go to Ivegan.
IVEGAN SUPERSHOP HANG DIEU is one of those hidden gems in the heart of Hanoi that makes you appreciate healthy food all over again. It’s the kind of place where you can go for breakfast, lunch, or even a light afternoon meal and always leave satisfied. The café has a modern and cozy vibe, with a clean, minimalist design and natural touches that reflect its plant-based philosophy perfectly. The atmosphere is calm and welcoming — a great spot to relax, eat well, and recharge. The first thing that stands out here is the excellent quality of the food. You can tell they use fresh, high-quality ingredients in every dish. I ordered the iVegan Bowl with spirulina, and it was absolutely amazing. The flavors and textures were perfectly balanced — colorful, nutritious, and delicious. It’s one of those dishes that looks beautiful and tastes even better, leaving you feeling full but light at the same time. The presentation was also great, the kind that makes you want to take a photo before digging in. I also tried the pumpkin soup and the avocado toast, and both were 10 out of 10. The pumpkin soup was silky, comforting, and full of natural flavor — not too sweet, not too salty, just right. The avocado toast was equally impressive: high-quality bread, ripe avocado, and a well-balanced seasoning that brought everything together perfectly. You can tell that the recipes here are thoughtful and made with care. The only thing that didn’t quite live up to the rest was the watermelon juice. It tasted a bit artificial, as if it had been sweetened with syrup or some kind of sweetener to enhance the flavor. It wasn’t bad, but it lacked that pure, fresh fruit taste you’d expect from a natural juice. Still, it’s a small detail in an otherwise excellent meal. The service was quick and friendly. The staff were attentive without being pushy, and the food came out surprisingly fast even though the place was fairly busy. You can tell they’re organized and know how to handle a steady flow of customers efficiently. Price-wise, it’s very reasonable for Hanoi, especially given the quality of the food and the freshness of the ingredients. It’s not the cheapest place in town, but you definitely get what you pay for — healthy, tasty, and beautifully presented dishes. Overall, IVEGAN SUPERSHOP HANG DIEU is a must-visit spot in Hanoi for anyone who enjoys healthy, plant-based food. Whether you’re vegan, vegetarian, or just someone looking for a clean and flavorful meal, this café delivers on all fronts. The iVegan Bowl is a must-try, the pumpkin soup and avocado toast are top-notch, and the relaxing atmosphere makes it a great place to unwind. I’ll definitely be back to try more dishes next time I’m in Hanoi.
